the problem isnt that you mix things up..its that you should shampoo your hair that much. shampoo is really harsh and it strips all the natural oils from your hair and scalp leaving you with dry dull hairIs it okay for me to use one of two different shampoo/conditioners every other time I wash my hair?

Red hair color tends to fade the most. So, I would use a good shampoo for color treated hair. Make sure that it's sulfate free. Sulfate is harsh on hair and tends to make hair dye fade faster. No it wont damage your hair if you don't. But I have dyed my hair red before and red fades FAST. My suggestion would be to go to a beauty store and buy shampoo for color treated RED hair. It made mine last way longer. :)
