Hair shampoo and conditioner ?

Do you really need to use color treated shampoo and conditioner if I just got my hair high lighted red? Does it damage your hair if you don't?Hair shampoo and conditioner ?

Red hair color tends to fade the most. So, I would use a good shampoo for color treated hair. Make sure that it's sulfate free. Sulfate is harsh on hair and tends to make hair dye fade faster. Most Shampoos and conditioners made for color treated hair also contain a UV protectant to stop the sun from fading your hair color. Here's an article about Sulfate-free shampoos.

No it wont damage your hair if you don't. But I have dyed my hair red before and red fades FAST. My suggestion would be to go to a beauty store and buy shampoo for color treated RED hair. It made mine last way longer. :)

It's not necessary, but it is better for you to prolong your color for $5 then to have to recolor your hair for $60.
